I have mentioned that I started working with Generation Q Magazine after attending Quilt Market last May. Well, I am very excitedly awaiting the newest issue that I got to help out on and it will be hitting your quilt shop any day now! Every extra minute of writing has been going on over there to give our readers a GREAT issue. So I hope you will go check it out, if you haven't been there yet.
So of course, I had to change my formatting around here so I could add one of these to my blog...
Around that same time... Quilt Market, I mean... I signed up to be an instructor over at Cutting Corners at Riley Blake. So I have been sitting on a pile of hot off the presses fabric for months! Of course, up until about a week ago, I had no idea what I would make. My procrastination is that great! I thrive on deadlines, I guess!
I really wanted to make a log cabin hexagon, but the scale of the fabric was a bit large and I was really struggling with the size of the block. When I finally got my publish date, I had to make a decision. Luckily, Julia over at Riley Blake told me not to get hung up and to remember not to make the quilt too difficult, since they attract newer quilters.
So, my first ever tutorial goes live tomorrow... but I will give you a sneak peek tonight...
See you all tomorrow!
Tracy
