More Quilting UFO's

Today I want to share a 12 month UFO. For some reason in the fall of 2010, I saw an amazing block of the month in the Keepsake Quilts catalog and simply had to have it. It was a Halloween Baltimore Album style pattern and I thought it is only one block per month! Surely I can finish that!

One block! That is all I got done because there were basically no instructions other than a drawing of the block design. Now, I have been quilting for decades. I even have done applique. But why in the world is this quilt hanging me up? I have no idea. Perhaps because I prefer to do needle-turn applique or "hand applique by machine" but I simply only have time to do fusible, raw-edge applique. And that just won't do.

This project, I think I am going to need a lot of support and hand holding to complete.

  1. Go for it! You can do it. It's just one block a month. Take a deep breath and...J U M P!!!!

  2. Thanks Steph... I don't know why this one is hanging me up so much. Perhaps it is that it doesn't have specific instructions for the applique? I don't know - I know that I can do it. But I am being SO self critical.
